Snorkeling on Sri Lankas South Coast Unawatuna Bay and Jungle Bay
You don’t need to be a scuba diver to get to know the fascinating world underwater and its splendor. Equipped with mask, snorkel and fins you float on the water surface and watch the vibrant coral reefs, rocks and coral reef-fish below. An intense experience and unforgettable moments.
At Unawatuna, we provide Snorkeling in front of the Unawatuna Rocks on boat ride of only five minutes and a duration of round 2 hours. The other Unawatuna Snorkeling Trip is by a boat tour along the Rumassala mountains of around half an hour to the Jungle Bay, close to the Galle harbour. Here you can snorkel from the shore and from the boat. This trip takes around 3 hours in total.
For more information & reservation, please contact us. Early reservation of at least one day in advance is recommended.
The Unawatuna Bay is not only a world famous beach on land, but offers a great underwater experience, too. With its many shallow spots, it is also the perfect place for snorkeling. A small ship wreck along with some rocks and corals offer a fun experience to snorkelers.
